The Deux Mille Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation that was created in 2000 in Vancouver, BC.

We accept grant applications once a year, between September 1st and November 1st. These are reviewed by the trustees and results are announced in early January.

Our Mission

The Deux Mille Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation that supports a broad spectrum of the arts and arts education, as well as some women’s issues.

WHAT WE SUPPORT

The Deux Mille Foundation supports well-defined projects rather than core operations. Most of our grants are in the $5,000 range. We will also consider multi-year funding requests.

Grants made by the Foundation are restricted to organizations which are recognized by Canada Revenue Agency as “charitable organizations” and which are able to provide a registration number. Grants are not made to individuals. We receive submissions from a large number of organizations, and our available income allows us to assist only a portion of the applications.

Our Canadian charitable registration number is 860811595 RR0001

If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him… We must never forget that art is not a form of propaganda; it is a form of truth.”
— John F. Kennedy
